Our History
1986 – Humberto Guizar became an attorney
Mr. Humberto Guizar is admitted to the federal district court.
1989 – Kent Henderson became an attorney
Mr. Kent Henderson is admitted to the local federal district courts and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
1993 – Rodney King Beating
Mr. Kent Henderson was one of the attorneys that handled the Rodney King matter.
1994 – Latino immigrant Felipe Soltero was brutally attacked and terrorized by an Officer
Mr. Humberto Guizar was the lead attorney in the matter and the injustice alleged that “in a scene reminiscent of the events now referred to as the ‘Rodney King beating,’ “Soltero was “brutally attacked and terrorized” by Officer Michael Jackson.
2004 – Angel Carrazco, Jr. became an attorney
Mr. Angel Carrazco, Jr. is admitted to the local federal district courts.
2014 – Law Firm Established & Key Speaker
In 2014, these already established reputable attorneys decided to combine their forces and form Guizar, Henderson & Carrazco, L.L.P.
Mr. Humberto Guizar was one of the key speakers at the 2014 California Trial Lawyers Convention in Las Vegas, giving a presentation on how to represent plaintiffs in actions against the police. He was selected as a Super Lawyer for 2014.
2018 – OCTLA Top Gun Trial Lawyer of the Year
Our very own, Angel Carrazco, Jr., was proudly recognized for his extraordinary work and results in the case: Estate of Manuel Diaz v. City of Anaheim.
2019 – SANTA ANA APPROVED $1.7 MILLION TO SETTLE POLICE SHOOTING LAWSUIT BEFORE PASSING COP RAISES
“It was a tragic, unjustified shooting,” says Mr. Kent Henderson, one of the attorneys representing Salgado family members. “There really was no reason for it.” The suit alleged that Prewett shot Salgado in the back three times and that officers at the scene delayed medical care to him afterward.
